Drs. Kurtz and Lee are thrilled to announce their 2021 Second Chance recipient. The Second Chance program provides complimentary restorative dental treatment to a resident of Danbury or New Milford who is suffering from extreme oral decay who cannot afford restorative treatment.
Christina, 43, is a mom and resident of New Milford. Growing up she had great teeth, however, after her gastric bypass surgery in 2009 and the birth of her third child in 2012, her oral health began to deteriorate as her body could no longer absorb nutrients like it once did. As her teeth began to rot, her once happy personality could no longer be expressed. While she wants to overcome the insecurities and lack of self confidence caused by her smile and previous weight gain, it has been a difficult road. As a mom of three she knows the importance of self confidence and being healthy. She is now back on track with her weight, but needs help with her smile. She wants to be able to go out to places with her children and friends where she can smile, laugh, and eat with confidence.
